Working in the field of sports medicine, Lucas began his acupuncture career working with athletes, from professionals to weekend warriors, at Acusport Health Center in San Diego, and collegiate athletes at University of California San Diego RIMAC center.
In order to deepen his knowledge of Internal medicine, Lucas moved to Taiwan to train in a year-long clinical apprenticeship under one of the top doctors of acupuncture and herbal medicine in Taipei. He returned to San Diego to open a TCM family medicine practice for the next 8 years, while continuing his education with yearly trips to clinics and hospitals in Taipei, Kunming, Beijing, and Nanjing to further develop his clinical skills. Lucas now returns to Southern California with a passion for holistic healthcare and healthy aging, after 2 years abroad working in Integrative Medicinal Wellness clinics in Thailand, Vietnam, and Shanghai providing acupuncture, herbal medicine, and qigong therapies.
